MSc. Karolini Tenffen de Sousa

I am graduated in Animal Science in Brazil, at the “Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná – UTFPR” (2016). During my undergraduate studies, I worked in the field of animal welfare and behavior, as a researcher in the “Grupo de Estudos em Biometereologia”, focusing on the evaluation of dairy cattle thermal comfort in silvopastoral systems. Then, I started a master at the “Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina – UFSC” in Brazil, addressing the effects of silvopastoral systems on thermal comfort and behavior of dairy cattle kept under rotational and alternative grazing systems. Currently, I am a Ph.D. student at the “Universidade Federal do Paraná – UFPR”, focused on livestock precision farming, and the relationships of thermal environment and social behavior, and its effects on cattle welfare, as reflected by the different thermal comfort acquisition in silvopastoral system.
